The Art Deco Darling

Smaller than expected but a good option for a very short stay. Positive: The property is well equipped, the furnishings are tasteful, beds are comfy,the agents were responsive & prompt with replies. The location is not quite central but good for our needs. We could walk to the CBD easily , the HBF stadium and there is a supermarket and great coffee shop close by. Negative: So the space is smaller than the pictures portray, the kitchen is quite teeny and there is only 1 bathroom- which is as expected. I feel it is fine for 2 adults but a bit cosy for more. We also struggled to figure out the shower - some instructions would help as the hot water can be scalding and it was difficultto turn off! There was alot of admin ahead of the stay to do with verification - 3 agents seems s little much and then rules, particularly about noise during our stay although we found the noise created by neighbours above a little disruptive actually.

Negative: I ended up being denied access to booking and had to rebook elsewhere for the weekend. Customer care was no help at all. I do require a refund.

Bronx Positive: The apartment was very cute. Beds were so comfy. Beautiful amenities and furnitings. Negative: However to look outside it was like staying in the Bronx. Grafitti everywhere and weeds taking over the yard. My brand new car got covered in urine from some animal in the tree over the driveway. When we arrived there was a lock if black hair on the table and a used wine glass full of water. The picture above the couch in the photos had fallen and just shoved in the corner.
